All foreign visitors desiring to enter Germany must have a valid passport. You may need to obtain a visa before coming to Germany. All participants who need an Invitation Letter for visa should send email to utu@informatik.tu-chemnitz.de with subject “IEEE ISCSET 2024 Invitation Letter for Visa application”. Please understand that a visa application letter will be sent only based on registration document.
Following information is required in the email when requesting a visa letter:
- Full Name
- University/Company
- Position at University/Company
- Date of Birth
- Passport No.
If, for some reason, your visa application is denied, your registration fees will be refunded to you in full when appropriate documentation is given.
Foreign participants should contact the Federal Republic of Germany Missions in their home country as soon as possible to determine their particular visa requirements. As a rule, missions require between two and ten working days to decide on an application for a short stay visa.
During the peak travel season there may be a waiting period for making an application to a German mission. Persons requiring a visa to enter Germany should therefore submit their applications in good time. If you are travelling to the Schengen Area for the first time, you should certainly apply for your visa in good time to make sure that you can travel on the dates you planned.
