About the Venue

The conference will be held at the meeting center of the IBS. The building was originally constructed in 1914 as an administrative facility for the Erika briquette factory and was in operation until 1990. In 2007, it was taken over by the IBS foundation and carefully renovated. Since 2011, the center has been used as a venue for conferences, workshops, and academic events.

The venue provides:

• Conference and seminar rooms
• Infrastructure for presentations and hybrid sessions
• On-site accommodation (IBS)
• Spaces for networking and discussions

The Lusatian Region

The venue is located in the Lusatian Lake District (Lausitz) in eastern Germany, a region known for its natural landscapes and outdoor environment.

The area offers:

• Lakes and waterways suitable for outdoor activities
• Cycling and walking routes
• A quiet setting appropriate for focused academic exchange

The region also has an industrial and cultural history, with museums and historical sites reflecting its development.

Accommodation

Participants are encouraged to stay at the IBS on-site accommodation, where the conference takes place.
